An unheated sapphire is a gift of the earth. It makes no sense to win it in a way that harms the earth, or the people who know it best.

Care for the land
Ceylon mining is low-impact by tradition: hand-dug pits, no heavy machinery, no river diversion. Worked pits are backfilled and replanted.

Investment in people
Safe conditions, fair pay, and steady work. We invest in the families and craftspeople of Sri Lanka's gem districts through training and local employment.

Community & transparency
We support education and community projects in the gem districts, and we document the journey of every stone.
Long before “ethical” became a marketing word, Ceylon's miners worked the land gently, because they live on it. A pit is sunk by hand, the gravel washed in the river, and when the gem-bearing layer is exhausted the ground is returned to use.
We did not invent this. We simply refuse to break it. By keeping our chain short and local, the value of a stone stays with the community that found it.
